HISTORY

The idea for RadioWFAR was conceived in 1977. Four years later, we transmitted our first signal from Danbury, Connecticut, on 19 July 1981 on 88.5 FM. We changed frequencies to 93.3 in 1983 and have been broadcasting non denominational christian programming, ethnic programming, and local programming since then.

Since then, we've grown throughout Connecticut, adding translators on 104.5, Bridgeport, 92.1, Naugatuck/Waterbury, and recently 98.1, the state's capital, Hartford.
